Chorley Christmas 2009 – Full Details

The council and the local paper in Chorley along with Chorley FM have released more information on this years Christmas celebrations in the town.

The celebrations will start at noon on November 28th and end at 6pm on the same day. During the day the children’s parade will start at 2pm (earlier than previous years), the route starts at the Fleet Street car park, to Chapel Street then New Market Street, it will proceed through the Covered Market and Fazakerley Street before ending at the stage on Market Street.

The stage will have the performances, dance – musical and theatre with the BBC Radio Lancashire hosts present – this was very popular last year.  In addition the Fair Ground will return with many rides for the public and a wide range of Christmas food and stalls available down Market Street.

The synthetic ice-rink which was so popular last year is making a welcome return and will be situated just by the Covered Market for three days.

Residents and visitors to Chorley are encouraged to come along and join in the fun – the provided entertainment is only half of the fun, the rest comes from your participation!
